Hello,

Does anybody know what the going rate on a set of Infiniti FX35 OEM 20" wheels (2009-2011 style with 5 spokes) are?

Thank you,

Chips

The going rate is whatever someone wants to charge for them. Ive seen some locally for 800.00 and then another set for 1500.00...go figure...*shrugs*

I would get them from some reputable shop that’s going to stand behind them. I’ve gotten many take off deals from eBay where the combo’s have very little miles on them. Have to warn you the rubber for the 20” are not cheap compared to the 18”. Upwards of almost 300.00 per tire. Costco seems to be the cheapest deal and they have the OEM replacement rubber and also Michelin tires. The others may seem cheap, but by the time you add the shipping and the shop fees, you’re past the Costco range. Another warning is going with cheap rubber equals crappy handling! Also referb wheels may not be painted with the correct paint. When the wheel heats up the paint gets weird.

CBR Dude,

Thank you very much for the info, I appreciate it I've seen a ton of wheels on Ebay that always look like there is something wrong with them. I'm actually trying to price a set of OEMs 20" to sell. I just bought a new set of 20" wheels (non Infiniti) and I'm trying to figure out what the going rate is for mine.

Thanks for the info!

What 20"s do you have? I've got to give my checkbook a break for a few months. The 20"s I have are the 5 spoke that are butt ugly. I would have liked the 20" 10 spoked or the 21" FX50 wheels. I also like the older wheels but can't find any that are not beat up. Someone said the Murano wheels fit and the center caps too. I've bought several sets of take off for my Suburban as it's cheaper to buy the take off's then the rubber by itself. But I've seen some pretty nasty looking wheels and the price they are asking and shipping floors me as to how and why they would get that kind of money. Craigs list is OK, but you really have to watch it. Too many cases of meeting the buyer or seller and someone leaving with nothing. Either being robbed or injury to yourself.

What kind of rims did you get?
I'm in the market for some 20"s let us know when you decide on a price.

I got GTR 20". Haven't arrived yet. I have my 20s on Craig's list now for $1700 as a starting point. I'm selling my tires too, but if I don't sell them I'll put them on my GTR rims.

I have the 20" OEM 5 spokes. I like them, but I really like the GTR look too. I was just going to put spacers on mine and flush them out, but I found a set of GTRs. Now I have to sell my OEMs to pay for my GTRs. I should just keep my wheels but I like to modify my stuff. Thanks for the info.

Good luck but I doubt youll get 1700 for the wheels without tires. *MAYBE* the rims and tires together will fetch that. Either way, good luck with the sale bro.

I agree, IMHO the rims are way overpriced, even with the tires it's a bit high.

Its a starting point. And I'm trying it locally in Miami first on Craig's list. There are tons of FX drivers here and half have 18s. I'm sure someone will want to upgrade their wheels. It'll just come down to me having to be patient and some price flexibility on my part. I just wanted to see what OEM 20s are going for so I could price them.

Thanks for your input guys.

Glad we could help. Here is what I figured about Craigslist. There is an "audience" for most items that sell on CL. If someone posts an overpriced that audience will watch and wait as the seller drops the price week by week. Sometimes the item sells for less then if it was reasonably priced in the beginning. My advice is to price them very competively and be firm on your price instead of overpricing and being open for negotiation. That competitive price catches the eye right off the bat and buyers will call right away in hopes of snatching it first. Hope that makes sence and GLWS. If yours tires have over 80% I would do $950 firm price. Pretty sure they'll sell then. 99% of people on CL know how much and item they're looking to purchase is worth.

Good luck with the sale, cant say they are perfect designs for the FX lines but it can a lot worst. All in all, personal taste.

They do resemble cauliflower leaves.

Good point on Craig's list. What do you think about the wheels by themselves? My tires are 95% I only have about a 1,000 miles on them. Just got the car 2 months ago. The stock tires are new on Tirerack for $1,100 + shipping + mounting, etc. I'll probably just mount them on my GTRs and use them and replace them with wider ones when they wear out.

That'll allow me to cut shipping price down for just the wheels. Probably too expensive to sell the tires and rims anywhere that I would have to ship too.

Funny comment on the cauliflower. Never thought about them that way. My personal preference is GTRs first, OEM 21s, then OEM 20s then the OEM 18s.

I don't mind them, but I just like the GTRs better. I've only seen the GTRs on this forum. Never in person yet. Hope they look as good in person as on the vehicles on this web site.

Thanks,

Sorry for the newbie question. I'm pretty new to aftermarket parts on cars in general.

I'm replacing the stock 18s on my 35 which will now be relegated to winter duty. I was shopping around on tire rack and was a little concerned about rim weight, many people have told me that the weight can affect the ride quality and gas mileage. How much does the stock rim weigh and what weight should i be aiming for?
