Gen 2 seats in a gen 1?

Im hopping the Gen @ seats will fit with little or no mods into a gen 1. i hate the seats in the gen 1, the leather is cheap and the comfort is not that great. I have a loaner EX and even those seats are better. Just seeing if this mod has been done, I live in Vancouver so Im sure the wreckers are full of Infinities.
 
Nope won't work. The 2nd gen seats bolts are different for mounting to the floor and the 2nd gen has ventilated seats. The switch over wouldn't work....
 
Not a direct bolt-in affair for sure, but I'm sure it could be done. You would definitely have to do a little custom wiring and you may have to sacrifice the ventilation. I've seen Audi RS4 seats in a 1st Gen FX though... it can't be that hard. The aforementioned Audi seat install was done by IS member "Raymond". I bet he would have some insight on this topic.
 
just want better comfort, the vented seats i can live without. im a mechanic so ill try and see what can be done. im sure the seat can be fitted to the base some how
