Gas tank

I wish I could say how many but sometime when I try to fill up and my tank it's half full.. It take like 5 gallons and the pump makes the click sound telling me that my tank it's full. When I get in my FX and check it's not full.. I wonder why that happened but for the must part 22 gallons it is for me.
 
yep, Big tank. Will take ya from LA to Vegas, & maybe as far back as Barstow on 1 tank
 
The warning kicks in with 3-4 gallons still in the tank so it makes sense for a fill to be 18-20 gallons.
 
Crazy question regarding gas tank, but has anyone had the problem of the gas tank no letting you pump more gas but the meter reading less than full?

The fuel senders go bad.....

That's what this thread it's all about. The gas tank meter acting up.. It has happened a couple of time to me..
 
It's a common problem with G35s too. It happened to my sedan. They replaced the tank and fuel bucket and it still happens sometimes.

After the pump clicks off, begin refilling again very slowly and then work up to full pump speed. That works with my sedan.
