Gas tank leak

I bought this 2008 FX35 about a year and a half ago, shortly after it developed a gas leak on the bottom of the tank where there was some slight damage. I had a mechanic patch the leak but now it’s leaking again.
Does anyone have any experience dropping the tank on this 2008 FX35 AWD?
