FX50S Trim and Headlights

Infiniti FX50 S
I have had my 2010 FX50S for 2 months now and love it.Just finished washing it and noticed that my chrome trim is bright chrome.Never occurred to me that one of the aspects of the Sport Package is darkened headlights, trim and side vents,as stated on my window sticker.
I have never even seen another FX50,much less a FX50S,in person so I really do not have anything to compare to.
Starting to wonder if something odd about the exterior specs on my car ,as when I took delivery in August the first thing I noticed was that there was no "S" after the FX on the liftgate.I was told that it must have fallen off or been stolen during shipment. They had me a "S" in two days which seemed fine.
I definitely have the Sport package as I have 21" wheels, paddle shifters, which were furnished on the Sport model only in 2010,sport seats with the Quilted design and side bolsters and the sport/auto button on the center console.
Could some show me or direct to some exteriors views of a 2010 FX50S showing what the dark tint is supposed to look like? Thanks.

Yeah you do have the tinted headlights. The reason why is cause they don't really look that tinted from the start anyways. I noticed this on various FX50 sport models when I was at the dealer a few weeks ago. Up close you can still see the chrome really clear. Far away you kind of have to squint to notice it's tinted. The same goes for the trim on the car too. Below is an FX50 Sport. As you can see the headlights don't even look tinted. It also depends on what angles you look at the car. Not worth the money in my opinion.

If you pulled up a non sport FX up to your car you can kind of notice it though. Still it's nothing amazing.

Thanks for the reply.
I guess what really makes me question this is the fact that when I took delivery the S badge was missing.
Makes me wonder whether I have a FX50 body on a FX50S chassis and suspension.
Like I said I have never seen another FX50 or FX50S,in fact neither have the two dealers I have been dealing with,so it is hard to comfirm whether the bottom chrome strip, air duct and headlights are tinted or not.
I will say that the bottom strip and air duct appear to be the same sheen as the chrome around the windows and elsewhere, highly polished with no dullness or tint apparent.

What does your window sticker say?

Across the top reads: 2010 FX50 AWD

Sport Package is listed under the options heading @$3000.00.

Yup that's what it's suppose to say.

The emblem I understand that it is possible to fall off during delivery of the car. Did you know that Infiniti's sit for days on the boat where it stays docked at the port. Lot's of moisture could cause the emblem not to adhere. Plus it could be a mistake that was made at the factory in Japan where it was built. The emblem's are some of the last things that are applied to the car during assembly, and it is possible they forgot or missed to put it on. Mistake's happen I guess. My friend paid for the cargo cover and they forgot to install it when he bought it. So it's very possible for you.

Just take a picture of your car that way I can let you know for sure.

I have the 21" wheels and paddle shifters on my 2009 FX50S. I agree with you that the tinted headlights and dark chrome are somewhat dificult to distinguish from the "bright" chrome stndard trim. My window sticker also said FX50 AWD and in the options listed the Sport Package at $3000. Up to June I was traveling quite a bit to Augusta as my oldest Son was finishing his one year neurology fellowship at the MCG. We could of made side to side comparisons of the 2 S's? Have you memorized all the switch acronyms yet (LOL). I put a sticky note on my dash with the translations.
Two of my sons have taken my vehicle to Augusta and when I asked them how they liked it they replied "TOO NICE"

I would love to get a side by side comparison at some point. If you are ever are going to be in the Augusta area just shoot me an email:triahc@comcast.net. Also,we spend a few days a month in Charleston,S.C.
If you are ever down that way let me so I make sure I drive the FX.
There is a dealer in Atlanta that has one on the lot and we may be heading that direction in a few weeks.
Yeah, those acronyms are pretty confusing. The whole time I was looking for a FX50 I wanted one without the Tech Package,as seems it was going to be too intrusive.
When I finally made the deal on my FX the Tech Package was pretty much just thrown in to close the deal. Now I am really glad I have it as it is really a cool option and can be pretty much shut off if not wanted.
