Does anyone know if the FX50s seats can be put in an 05 fx35?:confused.::confused.::confused.:
 
give me a set & I'll show you how it can be done :)

it's of course very possible, there will undoubtedly be at least some wiring issues & it's unknown weather they will bolt right up or need at least some modifications which I think it will, but it can without question be done... most probably not a bolt in affair though...
 
It's possible.

The dealer said they could upgrade my 2009 FX35 seats to the FX50s seats, but it would require some programming of the memory system since the FX50s seats has thigh adjustments on it.

I'd assume on the 1st gen you have, it would be a little more difficult. Not sure though....

Thanks for the quick replies guys! and Turbo if i had a pair i would have made them work myself. i wouldn't let those things out of my sight lol! my seats are wrecked and i cant decide what i want to do with them.

No, he just told me it would be expensive. The parts guy told me the lower seat cushion is $400 with tax, and the upper seat cushion your back rests up against is like $4100 something. And that's just for the driver's seat. To install everything with parts included would be almost $10K even with some discounts.

I'm just guessing $10K cause I got an estimate on the parts. The labor I'm not too sure about. I bet the labor would kill you too. The seat back is expensive cause of all the adjustment features it has.


I think the OP should just have the leather redone in something red like the anniversary edition G37's. I love that color!

Also forgot to add that you would need to purchase the seat frame and all of the switches and trim too. I bet that's another $3-$4K alone.

at one point I roughly calculated what it would cost to replace the interior in my 03 fx with all new from the dealer parts, I came up to somewhere around $17k in just parts & that was not even all inclusive, just the bits needed to change the color...

scfx, what color is your interior? if beige or brick then a seat swap can be horrible, but if your black then I'd suggest considering a seat swap, that's what I plan to do in my fx & why I'm very happy that I finally winded up with a black interior... I went from tan to brick & now finally to black with just this in mind...
 
my int. is black i havent had much luck finding FX seats in good condition .
