09 fx50s 106k miles. My fx seems to have excessive road noise with the windows up, even on smooth pavement i can hear and feel the noise from the tires resonating thru the cabin. I thought it was the tires, switched from pirelli to goodyear, its slightly better but not much. Took the wheel bearings off and checked them out, they are fine. Anyone else else experiencing this? I read a thread on another forum where a guy added a ton of dynamat under the wheel wells and seats. Ideas?
I know the fx50 isnt known for being the smoothest ride but my 2003 m45 with 175k rides smoother and quieter than this thing. :(

Not sure mine is relatively quiet with similar mikes and new Pirelli Scorpion Verdes.

Did you just put new tires on?

Turn the radio's volume up. :ROFLMAO:

But seriously though, I have Pirelli Scorpion Verdes also, and they are pretty quite.

100k miles --- check rest of the suspension, make sure wheels balanced, and that your alignment is right.

Also, these cars are very sensitive to PSI in the tires. make sure you're at 33 PSI if you are running factory sizing tires. Some may call me overly sensitive but I can tell the difference in the steering and in road noise when the PSI is off...

It can be other things too - wind hitting something hanging, etc. my commute every day I hit 100MPH constantly (open, empty stretches of road, of course) and you get a lot of wind resistance from these cars even on still days.
