FX50 with 2017 QX70 Bumper

Hi guys,

Has anyone or does anyone have any trips for swapping a 2010 FX50 front Bumper with a QX70 Limited Edition 2017?

I believe the mount points are the same. I've heard of some customization is needed for the camera?

The new bumper also has LED running (fog) lights.

I believe the LED for the 2017 is an option. I've seen 2017 QX70 with the fog lights. So if you want just the LEDs, you'd need to purchase the lower portion of the bumper since the front end is a 2 piece.

Seeing that you have a 2010 with the older grille/bumper, you'd need to purchase the 2012-2017 front bumper and grille/camera. Depending if you want to keep your current foglights, you can use your old lower bumper piece to fit on the newer style top bumper.
 
You will not be able to use the newer camera that comes with the new grille. You have to take the old one from your 2010 bumper and make it fit. Food for thought.
 
I like the new honeycomb grille, but not a fan of the change under on the bumper. The aero kit lip is also my preference.
 

I found this while ago. I intend on doing the same swap myself soon. The lower LED portion is separate just as it is on our current models so its an option.

Ha! In that video is shows me with proof that the 21" LE Turbines clear the Akebono's with no problem... ;) This was a question I had in my Akebono upgrade thread...

It also shows me that I might want to change the color of the calipers after all
 
Ill take the 2012-2016 front+aero kit any day over the new qx front. It looks too tacky. Almost like ebay screw on leds.

To confirm, my 2010 camera will not fit in a 2017 "honeycomb" bumper/grille?
What about a 2016 "non-honeycomb" bumper/grille? Would the camera mount without issues?

Also, forgive me for my ignorance but what is a "aero kit lip"

Hello, I want to do the 2012+ conversion, what the difference between the front bumper with the navigation and without? I have a 2011 fx35
