FX50 vs. Dodge Challenger

I just watched the video as well and it was close and it was an FX50 you can see the side vents ever so quick right as they're staging up to the lights. for a sec I though the FX was gonna stay closer. but that was cool to see....

Video says it was an FX35, and I noticed the non-chromed side vents. So it was an FX35?

With a time of 13.57 it was a FX50. Unless it was a very highly modified FX35. I wasn't even aware that a stock FX50 could run the 1/4 in that time either though. And even though it was missing the badging that Challenger looks very much like a SRT8 what with the 20" wheels and the Brembos. And a stock R/T would not run anywhere near that time. Hard to tell for sure though.

My neighbor just took delivery of his new black Challenger SRT8 last week. He has a black SRT8 Charger also. He likes fast(ish), black, big pieces of crap. I have to admit though that it is a fun car to drive. Dodge did a good job of the modern redesign while maintaining the look and feel of the classic Challenger. It's quick in a straight line and the ride and handling is a lot better than I expected. Steering is numb and uncommunicative as expected. Brembos do a great job as usually. That big 6.1L V8 sounds good too. The car is physically HUGEEEE, about 3 times the size of a FX it seems!! It just makes you want to floor it at every single stop light. I was like a little kid.

If someone put a gun to my head and made me buy a domestic car, I would buy the Challenger SRT8.

I most say that FX35 took off pretty quick!! For a few second there the guy in the Lexus looked concern lol.

Maybe we can see the second part of this battle if Infiniti decide to make a FX35 IPL...

fx50 Is definetly capable of doing 13 flat with minor boltons... Some HFCS, good exhaust, intake, and Tuning will wake that engine right up...

And it did run a srt8 challenger, 6.1L hemi. they do high 12s stock. and very easy to get power out of them...
Cams for them are like $350 for stage 1/2/3 pick on. 2 is 40whp stage 3 puts 60Whp ... lol Gotta love american muscle.
