For a while my braking power on my 07 fx35 has seemed very shit, then after a trip through the mountains my front rotors warped, so I decided to look into options before buying new rotors etc. apparently the fx50/g37s akebono 4 piston calipers are a direct replacement for the fx35’s. Amazon sells these refurbished for like 280$ a set, then all you need is new rotors and pads which I got on eBay from hart for 180 and popped it all in within an hour. Only thing I needed was an extra washer for the brake line bolt to space it a bit. Already have braided brake lines but I’ve heard oem may not work? Not sure. Anyways, here are some comparison pictures. They look great but more importantly the stopping power is significantly better.

Did have to bend the splash guard on the passenger side if you still have them. Lots of other write ups but I highly recommend this as a brake upgrade/fix as it’s pretty cheap.
Only did the front, rear don’t care

Look slike I got the same Powerstop calipers ready to be installed.
Mine do not say AKEBONO anywhere on the castings which to my understanding means these are not AKEBONO but a "replacement"
In any case they seem to be built properly at 50% the price of genuine AKEBONOs

The PowerStop calipers are rebuilt Akebonos. Exact same stampings on the back of my PowerStop calipers as are on my Q50 Red Sport Akebonos. OEM Akebonos do not say their name either. No need for different brake lines. You do need shorter banjo bolts though. Also, you'll need spacers if you have the 20" OEM wheels.
