FX50 brakes on FX35

Saleen looks really good I'm pretty jealous. I wish I got the fx50 brakes instead of staying with oem size.
Question though, what size spacers did you get and where did you end up getting them ? I was looking at getting H&R 25mm spacers but there a lot of $.. like $140 for a set so like 250 for all of them.

I didn't put spacers on the fronts, only the rears. They are the 25mm from Ichiba. Price is about the same. heres where i got them from: http://www.optionimports.com/itemdesc.asp?ic=ICB-WS25511466C&eq=&Tp=

In the process of finishing up this conversion on my '09. Currently editing some DIY videos on how to remove the wheel hub assemblies and how to remove/replace the parking brake shoe assemblies. I considered going the route others have taken by cutting the shields, but in light of Infiniti's bulletins where they install LARGER shields to prevent rotor thickness variation induced by uneven rapid cooling, I decided to go the proper route and replace all shields and related hardware to match the fx50s (btw, I am using all 2011 akebono bbk parts).

So I'm planning to do this upgrade as well. Do the lines definitely need to be changed? Are the fx 50s longer? Shorter?

Hi, So far I have all the calipers, disks, pads, and hardware kit. Can someone that has done this upgrade to a 09+ let me know if the original caliper bolts will work with the Akebono calipers and also if the original lines will work with the new calipers. Please also let me know If I am forgetting anything.

Thanks

Caliper bolts are the same. Original FX35 lines will not work on the FX50 calipers (might work with a banjo bolt.....but thats just my theory). If you are just gonna cut the rear shields like i did, then all you need are the FX50 lines.

Has anyone found a great place to pick up all the needed equipment for this upgrade? Also, what size wheels are needed to clear the new brakes?

stock 20s fit with spacers. 18s idk. but the stock wheels on the g37s are 18 or 19 i believe... i think offset plays a bigger role than diameter.

So I got an FX35 and I put the FX50 akebono calipers. The question I have is what are the brake pads numbers, because when I went to the dealership the guy told me that there are basically five different numbers for them. I can't see how they have different pads when the caliper is still the same from the FX50 in 09 to QX70 in 17
