FX45 question: should it have on-board mpg readout?

Reset the meter today and drove normally for probably 40 miles city/highway, mpg stabilized at 19. Not bad for a 4.5 V8 pushing around a 4300 lb car. Looks like my work is finally paying off. Car runs very strong and mileage is respectable. When I first bought it two months ago I could almost watch the fuel needle drop while driving because so many things were wrong.

I constantly discover evidence of a previous owner trying to work on something and instead of actually fixing stuff he just gave up and left things undone/loose/broken.

This person had absolutely no idea what he was doing and had no business messing with the car.
