FX45 Possibly Burning Oil

Nope, I stockpiled on the Rotella T6 for two more oil change.

la_fx35, have you made the switch to royal purple yet? I might also have to try it too. 1000 miles into my oil change with Rotella T6 i had to add almost a quart in. I might just have to give royal purple a try on the next one. rather pay more for the oil up front than always adding more in.

i went to the auto parts store today to grab some more oil for the fx to top off with, and i noticed mobil 1 has a 5w-40 oil for diesel it says its an "advanced full synthetic". sames size jug as rotella t6. i never even noticed or even recall seeing mobil 1 oil for diesels, i was thinking about trying this on my next oil change, any thoughts on this or anyone had experience on the mobil 1 oil for diesels on ours 45s?

I'm using royal purple 10w30. No issues on the burning matter. I say make the switch
