ok...

well, they didn't total it. they did put a bunch of remanufactured garbage in the estimate. i guess they also didn't notice the gouge in the wheel. i feel much better about my decision to bring it up to a local shop

this is gonna be fun...
 
insurance companies suck.... they want out as cheap as they can get away with...

wish I had some extra cash around, I'd say keep there check & I'd buy the rest from you, but I just tied up too much cash in something else :err:
 
feeling better now...

they removed the fender and subcovers to the forward subframe member, which was undamaged. the passenger door is a write off, and everything external to the subframe member on the RF was destroyed.

it would appear that the majority of the impact took place on the RF tire and wheel. the tire was punctured through the sidewall and the wheel was substantially damaged and appeared both out of round and warped. my major concern at this point is that the suspension and forward drive train is inspected properly. i doubt the front suspension was designed to take an impact like that.

clear bra cost?

anyone have a cost on ballistic film installation for the FX? was looking at it and they came back with 1200 as the cost.

my miata was 600, so not THAT far outside the range, but still, a bit of a shocker.
 
Is it the same product as the Military rotor blade cover material that ZAGG uses under the name Invisible Shield? If so that stuff is pretty amazing and it doesn't come cheap.....
