2003 fx45
I'm a proud new owner of a FX45. I have owned numerous cars over the years from 928s, 911s, M3s to Maseratis and a slew of muscle cars, and I must say the FX45 is one of the BEST to drive! I've always liked the FX since I first drove one back in 2003, but numerous midlife crisis and other things always put these on the back burner. Recently, I was looking for a 2005-2008 with low miles in showroom condition, and stumbled across an original owner 2003 with only 30k miles that had been babied and garaged its entire life:tup:

At first I was hesitant because of the rumors of the crusty ride in the 2003, but compared to what I'm used to, it is perfect! Not too mushy and not too firm. Hands down this is the best handling SUV I've driven (lighter and more nimble than a Cayenne S) and practical to haul my dobies. I dog proofed the interior and put an invisible 3M protective guard on the the rear bumper so they dogs don't F it up. Of course you always wish for more power, but honestly it is more than adequate, especially in crappy LA traffic. Still can't believe the handling in this beast:)

Thinking about doing the Indivia exhaust, updating the tail lights, and adding a custom grill.

Welcome to IS!! I'm glad you found the FX you was looking for.. Trust me you'll soon be adding tons of mods to it.. Tho there are not many engine mods for the 45 there are tons of other things to do to it.. Enjoy it!!

You are absolutely correct. He was somewhat firm on his price, but it was the cleanest one I had seen.

Ha . . . I know what you mean. It is real tough finding a good 45 in the SoCal used market. When I recently bought mine, I was picky about finding and getting the many features I wanted. Maybe I was too picky, but I easily found well optioned 45's anywhere outside of California. So, I took a road trip to buy mine out of state. I have never been happier with a car purchase! I prefer driving the FX45 over my Turbo Carrera.
Congrats to you and your new baby! Enjoy.
