Also, is the "discoloration" at the tips of the exhaust (reference Gordon's video) something that occurs over time?

Really? I didn't notice that on the picture of the 350Z or myl168's FX45.

O ok. I assume it was mentioned before, but incase not, Gordon works for Invidia so he may have gotten the tips added and it may not even be an option. Of course it is doable though if you want that look.

hey guys. sorry i've been busy. the exhaust gordon had on with the blue tips was the prototype. the kit come with polished tips. not Ti. the exhaust is settling in nicely. the throttle is more responsive. if i just tap on the throttle the car jerks more. not sure if that's good or not. but i'm more conscious about it now. i'm sure that there are gains. I can feel the car pull harder when i accelerate. I feel that it has broken in, and i'll get vids soon enough. I'm extremely pleased with this exhaust, and have not had any second thoughts. It looks like invidia took the design elements from the hks, nismo, and stillen to create this exhaust. I could be wrong, but it look like it to me. I just can't believe that more don't have this system. PM gordon for more info.

ya, more like design mistakes from other brands. it looks like more like stillen from from the cats, and bends where other brands didnt in the rear section so that there is room for rear braces.

My only concern with this exhaust is the strength of the Flex pipes.. sometimes they can break making things become a pain in the ass.. I guess ill find out soon enough bc mine should be here within the next 3 days..

just saw this on sombody's FX over on the org - he had the Ti tips so i don't think its just a prototype.

noticeable improved low end torque? how about mpg...+/-?

Really like to see dyno results on the 45 and how the GTspec braces fit.

In the dyno posted, what year was that Z? If it's a newer model and has the HR engine, those gains don't mean anything to us. The HR needs true dual, and I would assume responds better.

The only dyno results from a 45 ive seen is from Dr.2k....
Theres not much you can do to a 45....
and its kinda expensive to do runs on a awd dyno.
to spend that kinda $$$ on a session just for exhuast is kinda over kill IMO

Actually dead model and engine. No more FX45's are made, and the VK45DE is pretty much gone except for Nissan race engines.

I was hoping no loss in low end torque. Based on his signature, looks like he advanced his timing +2...don't know if that would affect anything.
