FX45 hard to find

Hi everyone, I'm still shopping for my next vehicle, and the FX is currently top on my list. After some homework and considering, the 45 is beating out the 35. However, seems like the 45 is harder to come by. Cars.com, Autotrader, Carmax, etc all have tons of 35's listed. However, 45's are few and far between. Getting mainly 2003-04 (and staying within my budget) in these searches. Were 2006-07 FX45 production numbers low? Or are people so happy with their 45's, that they don't want to sell them? :wink: I hope it's the latter! Ha! Anyways, if anyone can provide feedback, I'd appreciate it.
 
If your budget permits, I would highly suggest looking for an 06 model. The exterior and interior changes are worth the extra money in my opinion.
 
I have owned my 45 for a little more than a year and in that time I have accumulated more than 30K miles. I driver her harder than most (coming from sportscars I sometimes forget that this isn't one, but it seems to respond well, just a whole lot more body roll and sometimes unwillingness in trasient responsiveness - is that even a word?). I average under 16mpg driving her that hard and most of my travel is done on the interstate.
I had to go to Dallas from Houston to get what I wanted, which was a low mileage 45 (or X5 4.4 lol) that wasn't beat up (cosmetics on the ones locally were aweful, people in Houton ding, scratch, and dent everything apparantly).
One thing to note, the 35s in my area seem to be holding residual value more than the 45s.
Would I recommend the 45, whole heartedly! It is very well built (although some of the materials are cheaper than its competition). If it fits your needs then get one, mine isn't fitting my needs anymore so I am going to be trading it in next year....maybe....unless my lifestyle changes again lol.
 
I have a 2003 FX45 with 120k miles on it, feels the same as day one and don't ever plan to sell it.

My infiniti dealership keeps calling me and offering to buy it, so I can see that there is a demand for FX45's for some reason.

New here, but I also had a hard time finding a 45. Finally inked the deal on an '06 with 50000km's on it yesterday and pick it up tomorrow. There were hundred's of 35's where I am and only 18 45's. GL with your search.
 
I love my 07 FX45. I'm sure your search is affected by lower production numbers than the 35 and more people keeping theirs. Keep looking and take your time finding one. Good luck.
 
Oops, forgot to update. I did end up finding a 2008 FX45 with all the goodies (except rear DVD)! I really do love this truck! I ended up going outside my budget, but I got exactly what I wanted. I'll just tap into the supercharger fund for my G35 and push that project back for a bit :( I hate the feeling of regret when I settle for less, especially on a large purchase like a vehicle. Well, I have a FX35 in love with it since day one. Talking about MOD's I belive that it has more options than FX45, correct me if I am wrong........
