FX35 w/ g35 fujitsubo exhaust

just another update, so this time, my mechanic did a close up check on my exhaust, and he end up taking the heat shield off from the Y pipe, and double and triple check, make sure nothing is touching,,

final result, okay i give up on it, the weird metal sound is still here,~~ i am pretty sure is the berk HFC that making those noise, i guess i have to get used to the HFC sound,,=.=v

If you bought the cats new then send the company an email for a warranty replacement. Might be loose baffling inside the cats.

or i was thinking if the extended tip may causing the problem too?....

since i extended about 6 inches., then after passing 3~4k rpm, it maybe shaking a lot at a higher rpm?.....im just curious ?_?

I tried PM'ing you back Elee, but its telling me you don't want to receive PMs. Sorry, I haven't been on here in a long time. But I have the complete Fuji setup from y-pipe back, but with stock cats, and I do not have any rattling problems. I can tell you that I also have upgraded exhaust hangers just in case. I don't think that it is the exhaust tips. I had this happen once in the past to another car and it turned out that the muffler shop forgot to install an exhaust gasket in one of the connections. If this isn't it, then it might be the HFCs. Hope this helps alittle.

thank you for your help., i will probably double check again about the gasket, or i may just go with aftermarket Y pipe, and swap the stock cat back on, ~
