is this when your heat is turned on or always? if its with the heat and you havent changed your cabin air filter id do that. Had this problem once before. went away after i changed it. hope that helps
Either battery or catalytic converter bad.
I had the same issue and it turned out to be the battery as well. The battery is right by the fresh cabin air intake.
I assume the OP is talking about "rotten" eggs? If the smell continues while he is driving it shouldnt be the Cat's. The battery is the most obvious cause as it is directly in the air flow path between the outside fresh air and the cabin air intake system. ( I like how they designed that to keep battery temperatures down in the summer, high battery temps being the main cause of premature failure).
Thanks guys it happen to me once I have the heat on or when I floor the car. I changed my battery recently not even a month ago. I'll try the cabin air filter how can I tell if the cat are going bad beside a smell of rotten eggs?
