FX35 Paint flaking of Mirror button

I need some advice.

The paint has started to flake off one of the garage door opener buttons on my rear view mirror. Can the covers on these buttons be replaced separately, or do I have to replace the mirror?

Yes, this is happening on my girls '04 also, any suggestions other than using a sharpie?
