Looking to fix an age old problem, leaking spark plug tube seals. I replaced the valve cover gaskets about 2 years ago because they were leaking. No notice of oil in the spark plug wells when I replaced the plugs at 120k. Burnt up a coil pack,#5, a few weeks back, replaced it, all was fine. Then 2 weeks later burned up 2(#1,#2) within 2 mins of each other., started to find a safe place to pull over but the engine died and wouldn't restart. started troubleshooting. Found oil in #2 spark plug well. Decided to look at #1,5 spark plugs, oil on the threads but just "damp" in the well. Found the link to the codes I was getting, P000, P001,P002., turns out there is a Infiniti repair bulletin on this, apparently happens quite often, ITB11-017, date March 1,2011, 2003-2008 FX-35. Now for the fix.
