FX35 or FX45 ??

Just my 2cents. I bought a used FX35 with Touring/Tech/Navigation. I stole the car but it did need a lil tlc...but was in good condition. Have a few mods added to the engine and the exterior.
I have considered trading "up" for the FX45 just for the extra power but here is where I stand. The cost to sell/trade in my 35 to upgrade to a 45 is about (after taxes and all) anywhere from 3-5 grand same model year and mileage (about 45K) That gets me about an extra 25HP at the Fly Wheel. (plus a heavier car)

Heres where it gets interesting. (this is not to debate S/C -vs- T/T just an example) For the same 5 grand plus install I can get a Stillen Supercharger for my car and gain almost 90hp at the Fly wheel (and the have a lighter car). And no Stock 45 is gonna beat a S/C 35. For about the same price if your looking for power this would be your best bet.

Can't go wrong with either. The 35 has more options to modify. Fx45 is smoother. Both can come with the exact same technology packages so it's just what your looking for.

Drive them both, then see if the additional power of the FX45 is worth the additional costs to you. The answer varies from person to person.

Can't say I see much difference in MPG in the numbers people have been reporting here:

I just went through this dilemna about 2 weeks ago. Dealer had an '07 FX45 on the lot and '07 FX35. Both were identical; tech package and were black. The only real difference was that the 45 had the expresso interior and the 35 was black. After driving both, I ended up getting the 35. It was $4k cheaper and had half the miles (12.5K vs. 25K). I thought the 45 was smoother obviously, but it didn't feel significantly faster. I also like to tinker with my cars and the 35 has much more choice in that regard. The main, sticking point was that the 45 had the expresso interior though and my wife thought that was an abomination. Haha.
