Monday was a sad day for us. Came out in the morning to drive my wife to work and noticed that someone had hit her car right outside of our house. So upsetting. Luckily later that day I received a text from my neighbor fessing up to it. It was an accident and I really appreciated that he admitted hitting the car and offered to pay for the damage. Thank God because I dropped it off last night at my body shop and it came to $950! So on Monday we will get the ole IridiumFX back good as new....hopefully!
Ha thanks man! I know I wish. We usually leave the Mrs.' car in the backyard when we are away for the weekend. Oh well, live and learn! And yes I know it is in a terrible place but hopefully the work is done well. I will upload a couple of pictures after I pick it up. Even if the work isn't done perfectly, there are only 9 months left on the lease!
Thanks Wayne! Yeah it was unfortunate, but I actually just got this picture from my guy at the body shop. Looks like it's coming along quite nicely (and quickly too considering I dropped it off at 5pm yesterday)! He told me our color is pretty difficult and that it involves three different coats or colors or something because of the metallic flake.

Looks like that shop does good work. They are properly blending and by the visible prep work on the roof roof line, it looks like they prepped the area well also.
Should look good as new soon enough.

LOLOL Yes I am sitting at my desk laughing because you have no idea how hard it is hanging onto this car! I beg my wife every other day to get her into a 2015 QX70S or SQ5 or something else and she keeps shooting me down telling me exactly how many months are left on the lease and how she wants to hold it to the end. It is disgusting but I have had five cars in the time she has had only this. I guess that's why she abuses me all the time! Haha!
hnnnnggg. I test drove an SQ5 when we were looking at cars a few weeks ago. Absolutely awesome vehicle. Expensive, but if your looking for a small SUV its an impressive option.
We ended up with a CLA. Which I still don't like, but its growing on me.

I can see why she wants to keep her FX, it is a beautiful ride, a SQ5 would be very nice though.

That's great to hear about the SQ5. I'd like to take it on a test drive sometime. The CLA is a great looking car! The other option for her, while tiny and sorta funky is a GLA45 AMG. These little bastards lease for close to $900 per month! I could've had an FX50 for less. No thank you! But cool looking nevertheless!

Their not any more handsome in person either. Dealer where we bought our CLA from had just gotten one, and it is one ricey looking number with that ugly wing and side skirts. Not a mercedes design by any stretch.
The CLA we picked up was a 250 edition 1. Which means its the regular 250 except with custom interior and full AMG bodykit. Looks the part, but doesn't have all the gas guzzling performance, which is fine by me. The car is replacing the 2007 Camry we had which was totalled when some clown rear ended me, and as a replacement to that vehicle it fits the bill extremely well.
Two issues with the car though, rear leg room, and headroom for the rear occupants. Both are pretty dreadful even compared to the camry. Not a deal breaker for me, but for some it would be killer.

My father was nice enough to lend my wife his GLK350 (in part because I did not offer my car to use in the interim...because I'm smart) and she hated the GLK. She said it drove like a toy and was flimsy.
