FX35 Haters?

My wife and I we nt to the local nissan dealership yesterday to see if they have FX35 for sale which they did. Whenwe started walking towards it she was happy that i finally want a SUV until we reached the car. It was 06 blue FX35 with 75k and they wanted 18.9k for it. Her first reaction was YUK you really want that? My responce was HELL YEH. To me they are absolutely beautiful machines. Like many said before, there isnt anything on the road like it. Im an Audi guy and i love me some Q5 but in 30k price range I dont love it that much. Anyway point being is that I am married 27 year old guy who stopped caring what others think about my cars long time ago. As long as it puts a smile on my face that all that matters. If you dont like it then im sorry. There is always bus 11 (walking) that would take you anywhere you want to go:-)

I gotta say that in about 2 years I've gotten maybe a handful of compliments. When I had the Mustang Cobra...10 years old...I would get a few a week. Cops noticed me all the time....even with the tinted windows, windshield, etc cops just don't notice me either...which is a good thing, but also others don't notice and I'm thinking that's gotta be the reason.

Absolutely no hater experiences here. I'd say the opposite. More respect on the road and more respect in parking lots. I think people notice something nice even if there brain doesn't fully process it.

I still don't get the shoe comments. People must be blind

I don't notice much hate on the road. The tailgaters tailgate just as much as when I had my accord.

I dont get the shoe comment either, but my buddy says the same thing, says it looks like a shoe.

Not much hating so far from folks on the road, unless I smoke them off a stoplight because they have no idea an SUV can move that fast :)
When I first bought my FX ('10 FX50S black/black), my lady didn't like it, and said it looked like a 'duck'. Our 13 year old said it looked like Darth Vader's car. Now they simply call it "Duck Vader"..

I have always liked the looks of the FX, although the rear sometimes reminded me of Rosie from the Jetsons for some reason. I think then, I was looking for a reason not to like it since we couldn't get one at that time. Now having one, my wife says she gets quite a few compliments at the store, church, from our kid's school, etc. A few weeks though she was driving on the highway and about 5 mustangs in caravan were wanting to play with her. They would speed past, slow down, get behind her, speed up and pass again. She just kept driving as normal. At the final caravan pass she noticed the last mustang had some scrolling marquee on the rear windshield displaying the message "kiss this infiniti" and they finally continued on their way. Glad they were willing to waste their gas and time to acknowledge infiniti and even spell it right! :tongue (2):.

Wife loved the 1st Gen exterior but thought the ride was too harsh. She also said that when she drove it, she felt she was in a video game (yes, she even made the vroom sounds to describe how it felt). I guess that is a compliment. She LOVES the 2nd Gen ride and thankfully still feels like it is a video game.
I do get random compliments in the city. Especially in cross walks where I get thumbs up signs and the fleeting, "Nice whip, man". Last week, I had someone race up to me after I just parked on the street to ask me how I liked the FX. Then proceeded to let me know it was his dream car.

I had my mom call it one time a "Truck". " Will the truck be picking me up at the airport?" Sure but it won't be this truck! Lol

i had a guy that told me my fx look like it want to eat someone .. (guess he saying it looks aggressive) This dude down the block has a 2010 maxima and he always tell me how the fx looks like the bigger version of his car ( he would call it a shark)

thats all i have

Not so much. Many ppl are surprised that it's an '09 instead of a '11-'12. Those that are infiniti enthusiasts appreciate that it's a 50, since there are virtually none around where I am.
