Reading all my owners manuals for car seats, they suggest using LATCH until the child is about 40 lbs, then use the seat belt to hold the car seat in place.

But it says some cars can go higher and to check the owners manual. Nothing in the owners manual and called Infiniti Corporate, no answer. Corporate said to call a local dealership.

Anyone shed some light on this?

I would love to use LATCH anchors vs seat belts as it's easier, but don't want a safety hazard for my child.

Calling all Infiniti employees...

I wouldn't risk it even if some Infiniti employees or dealer people verbally answer your question. Unless they send you an addendum to the manual and some where on the addendum page indicate the year, make and model of the addendum page was for, I wouldn't put my child at risk.

If your manuals said 40 lbs, I'll take it as it is. I know the latch is very convenience, but I would not risk my child life.

I've been using both since they don't interfere with one another=)

Good point, reinforces my thinking.

I need to get another one, the Recaro Prosport has a high weight limit on a 5 point harness but I hear that the straps are too short when they get bigger.
