Just installed the bug deflector, looks very nice on black, simple install, but the fitment is not 100%, it felt like some screws had to 'angle' in threw the hole, and the center screw doesn't feel as tight as the sides. But, still looks nice, looks flushed except from behind with slight protrusion.
Don't worry about over tightening the center, just tighten the center screw enough not to dimple the deflector. I over tightened my first one in the center and month later in cracked after I pressed on it. First time installing it was a bit strange, but it is not that bad. You just have to make sure you put the little metal brackets in the right spots. Have somebody help you hold the deflector so you can center and mark the holes.
Be careful when ordering one of these, they may be getting wise. I ordered one for the $36 advertised price (it was on the site as well as the receipt I got) yet they charged my card for the full $99 price without telling me (which is actually illegal). Luckily I noticed the extra charge and called them to have it reversed. So, moral of the story is keep any eye on your credit card after ordering one of these to make sure you get the $36 price.
I always hand wash so this deflector should always stay in place.....as for the price, I bought 2 of these since the 9.99 shipping cost was the same for 2 pieces.
Total cost for 2 was a little under $90, maybe sell the other one on ebay to subsidize my cost! I paid via paypal so everything should be alright.
