FX35 Back in the business ;)

Cut the story short - I used to drive a 2003 FX35 and that's when I joined the site.
Now I am back with my 2009 FX35 and loving it ! I got this beast with these interesting rims on it..
what do you guys think ?

Looks like it's Platinum Patriarch Chrome Plated ;) So I dont really know If I like them yet.

congratz on the new FX im sure you must be loving all the new toys that come with it :)
the rims are ehh, personally not my taste in chrome wheels too much bling-bling, Id get them painted black ;) maybe ask someone on the photoshop thread hopefully they could give you an idea how it would look like
 
Exactly my thinking. This FX is shiny as a mother*ucker. I think I will be selling these bad boy rims here and will get something black. I'd also like to get black vents.
 
most members here with 09+ FXs paint their vents by themselves or get them powder coated at a shop, you could always look into local shops to see how much they would charge you. and also there is plasti dip if you didn't like the black anymore you could always peel it right off

Like the ride, if u cant sell the rims u can always keep them for an emergency.
 
So i ve been thinking about the rims and i thin the easiest way would be to black them out with plasti dip. These have a nice thick lip and look like deep dish... What do u think if i black the chrome parts out and paint the lip white? I am also planning to plasti dip other chrome parts, to match everything.
 
Id personally would plasti-dip it all black, I wouldn't do the dish white; but thats my two cents. If you like it you could always try it, the wonder about plasti-dip is that you could always peel it right off, you should check my update section on the 03-08 section I just plasti-dip my wheels and trim yesterday :)
