FX35 Aftermarket Exhaust Roll Call

I think in the lower end the stillen is a bit queiter than the nismo, the first few days I had the stillen in I was surprised how quiet it was... but then driving next to walls or under overpasses & through tunnels though & it becomes apparent how loud it is... I think it's loud enough... I'm hoping when the headers go in it's not too loud:smile:

Expect some low end loss on the 35 w/ the Stillen. I've driven both. Stillen is better suited for 35 FI or the 45. Nismo is the obvious choice performance wise between the two for 35 N/A.
 
YES . . for overall rpm band. VQ needs all it can get on the low.

what about the AWD issue? (Y-pipe will not fit) can we find a good deal on only midpipe and mufflers?

i found the full nismo catback for $844 new
and at ebay for $795

i asked thenismoshop.com if they can sell for me just the midpipe and mufflers and they told me that it will cost more than the full catback ! :confused:


by the way, i really wanted the HKS too but i changed my mind ..
 
I've be searching for a nismo y-back setup for months with no luck. i can't even get anyone to reply to my PMs or posts on for sale threads on my350z
 
News Flash:

Ok I just picked up a used Nismo exhaust (y pipe back). there where some scratches (from a lowered 350z), but all in all in good shape. I even got a receipt for it in case I need to prove to the cops that is C.A.R.B. approved. Man the 3" pipe looks monsterous, also he said he swapped it with a HKS high power exhaust cause the NIsmo was too loud. huh? he is running test pipes. I heard his HKS HP and it still was kinda loud for me. So I hope this will work out in the FX.
I digress ...

So now I need to buy a G35 extension. Should just buy one from Nissan stealership? It goes for $50, do any of you know where else I can get one?

I got it from a g34driver/my350z member. I will post pics as usually once I get it installed (in a week or so)
 
West Covina Nissan has them or you can have the muffler man make you one.
 
Alan, dont worry. The Nismo will sound perfectly tame & tuned. Goodbye Hollow VQ note :biggrin:
 
I know that nismo is logical for infiniti but I listen borla and i really like the sound it is sounds like exactly different car and the decibel is more higher

Ege, do have experiance with HKS and heard the sound of it...?! As i'm more of the low torque guy.
What is your opinion with my engine setup...??

You told me about the dual system,but with this mod i just want to buy a bolt on system i think.
The guys from HKS aren't stupid you'd think....why would they keep the stock size diameter then....?! Just to change the sound with no HP gain...?!
