The other is a fx45 2006 with 111k miles in black well taken care of as well i prefer the 45 due to the power and its exactly what im looking for black exterior black interior fully loaded but having a hard time deciding do to the oil consumption issue i have been reading up on.

no they are stock here is a link of the fx35 the 45 is not listed because it is on hold for me

I was trying to post a link but it does not let me since i only have 1 post

are you buying straight from the dealer or private party? prices are pretty high

Carmax kind of need this car in a hurry about to have a son in 2 months and i have a 2011 single cab silverado so need this fx asap

Did you test drive them? That is a big mileage difference....you always want to get the car with lower miles though. I suggest you look around some more...

Carmax prices are too high!!...I was looking at a car for my girlfriend last wknd there and we actually ended up getting a much better deal and car from a Volvo dealership.

no im going to test drive this friday. yea the smart thing to do would be to go after the less miles but the v8 is very tempting and i like the interior better and has more feutures.
carmax gave me a pretty decent offer on my truck so thats why i was going with them all the other fxs i seen are cheaper but are in mom and pops dealerships and i dont have a good feeling about those. I will continue looking though

Remember the V8 will eat up a lot more gas....though gas is cheap right now it will go back up again.

What options package does each car have?

This is the link to the white one still can't post links but that's the vehicle number on Carmax

11304436

the fx45 has the technology package awd and not sure what else

I'll give you $500 more than Carmax for your truck :)
I've never seen a good offer from Carmax. You could sell your truck on craigslist for 20% more if what I've seen holds true.

Oh- and if the choice is the two FXes you listed- go with lower miles.

Isn't the KBB on those maybe $13-$14K? I just looked and based on the miles, that's where it would be. And that's in very good condition. Why would you pay a $3-$4K premium because Carmax is "giving you a good trade in"? I think a member here was selling his '07 for maybe ~$15K and lower miles.

What is Carmax going to offer that you can't get somewhere else? A 30 day warranty? For cars of that age, there is no advantage to buying it from Carmax. Just expand your options and look at other dealerships and private party and check the Carfax or similar. You're going to end up much better off selling your car on your own and buying the FX separately. Doing both at the same place means you're losing out. Carmax and any dealer for that matter isn't a charity. If they're giving you a good deal on your truck, they make up for it by screwing you on the price of the FX you're buying. If they were to give you a good deal on the FX, they'd probably screw you on the value of your truck.

^ +1. Those mods alone costs $$$$. Part of the fun with the FX are doing the mods. This means you hit the ground with pre installed mods ;-)

I would have said get the 45 w/tech package, but if you don't care about the tech at least look in the garage at all the mods done on this 35! This would be hard to pass up.:good:

You know you can pay a shop to inspect a car right? Cheaper than the $3k premium Carmax charges.

Plus their inspection isn't special. Run it through an OBD scanner, see if anything is leaking...
