FX vs. Audi Q5 - Volvo XC60 - BMW X3 and X5

I have gained weight...that must be why it's now smaller.

I have lost 35lbs and it still seems like the FX has gotten smaller since we purchased it.

Good report OP, nice to see people take their time and evaluate their needs and all the rides available out there. We did that also, and tested many of the same brands. The difference being, she chose the new FX.

I really like the S60 R too.

Safety is #1, you can't go wrong with a Volvo in that sense!

Well, since I hate it when threads never resolve, I figured I would post the outcome of the "SUV" search for my wife. Last night we purchased a 2012 Volvo XC60 T6 R-Desgin (Turbo Inline 6 - 325HP, 354 lbs ft of torque). It really came down to the smaller SUV/CUvs - the Audi Q5, BMW X3, and XC60 (I won't bore you with any more details on those). Interestingly enough, I myself might actually consider an FX as the replacement for my own car at some point so I could be back here ultimately!

Reviving an old thread w current mindset and update - coz, I contributed my opinion on this topic in the past. In case someone like me happens to go through the same....

Traded my midnight mocha FX RWD for a 2013 Pathfinder Platinum w Premium. Will miss the zippy FX....a beauty.

cockpit sure does feel like it...maybe I was looking for an FX in the next drive with 3rd row...JX wasn't my taste and sweetheart liked the Pathfinder..

I got the FX's WeatherTech Digitfit mats and liner left with me if anyone interested. Realized when trying to post in classifieds that I don't have enough count of posts though been here for a few years on the forum. (I understand the reasons for min posts; but, it sucks to not be able to list them up on the only FX specific place I know of ...CL and my motorcycle forums will be a hit and miss)

Anyone in the DFW area interested in them?

Congrats on the Volvo R. It was neck to neck between the FX and Volvo for us. As much as we love the FX (I drive a G37 coupe) I think my wife may have preferred the Volvo by a hair.
