FX owner in the near future

Like the title says, I'm going to be in the market sometime soon for a FX. I've always loved the way they've looked from the first time I've seen one on the road.

I'm currently driving an 06' Jeep Grand Cherokee, which I've modded out a bit.

I can't post a link to my cardomain page, but here's the back end of the web address. /ride/3166591

I'm looking for an 03-06 pre-owned FX 35 or 45 with under 50k miles. Are there any issues or problems I should look for with FX's when looking to buy?

I'm still kind of on the fence as far as choosing between the 35 and 45. Can anyone chime in on the differences besides the extra HP? I just don't want to buy a 35 and regret not getting a 45 afterwards.

With that said, this site looks awesome from the little bit of lurking that I've done and I'm def. looking forward to being a part of the community. I am addicted to mods.

Honestly, you need to drive them both. I'm partial to the 45, and from what I've learned, not a lot of bolt on performance mods, but probably the opposite for the 35. I think the FX will match and exceed your current auto in every way except if you have a 4x4, and depending where you are at, you may not need it. Welcome to :iS:.

If you want to or plan on doing a lot of mods then a 35 might be the way for you. But if you want more low end torque with AWD (35 also has a AWD version), the extra HP and do not want to do to many mods then the 45 may be your choice. Both great rides but I love a v8 and after test driving both the 45 was for me. Also, no real issues with the FX to speak of. Good luck with your hunt for the right FX for you and welcome to the board.

just got mine Jan 5th... my search criteria was very similar to yours... 03 & above... under 70k miles... after testing driving 5 different ones, i ended up getting 05 fx35 with 60k... i love it... nothing like this car...! good luck
