FX: Did You Know? (FX Facts)

Here's one I've discovered out of curiosity:
When you press the "lock" and "unlock" button together on your keyfob (technology, don't know if it works on non-tech) for like 5 seconds the fx goes into silent mode (won't honk anymore when you lock it). To make it normal again just push both buttons again for 5secs.
Nice thread btw.

Don't know if is only the FX but if installing a part or doing maintance the check engine light come up, and there is nothing wrong with the FX the engine light will disapear within a day.. Just happened to me.

Cleaned the upper and lower plenum and when I turned on the FX I forgot( dumb me) to plug in the TB and the intake.. Luckily I heard the FX do weird noises. Turn it off looked under the hood and plug them in.. Light came on lasted a day and went away.

Not all FX models came with spare tires. I'd hate to find that one out the hard way.
Those with run flats did not. Of course, that makes sense I guess. Although now I have an 18" EX wheel that sits in the rear cargo area as my spare, along with 5 of the newer style lugs they use.

The Infiniti FX shares platform with the Nissan Murano. Just kidding!!! It's based on the FM platform (Nissan 350Z and Infiniti G35).

It always cracks me up when people comment about that like it's true. "It's just an upscale Murano, isn't it?"
They just can't wrap their heads around the fact that there is no Nissan version of the FX.
