Hi,

I need a little help as I am new to the whole wheel thing and am not sure I know what to do if I want to keep a stock profile when buying new wheels. The wheel Im looking at is a 20x8 but Im not sure of the offset. If the offset isnt +50, will I need spacers for it to maintain the stock look? The wheel Ive been eyeing is the Fusion Onyx with Gold accents on an 09 Mojave Copper. How do you think it will look?

I think it will look fine, but why do you want to keep the stock stance..? Most agree that wheels look best when they line up close to the fender.. This will be tucked in a lot all around.

Good point, maybe I dont want to keep the stock stance. Will not keeping the stock stance affect any driveability? Will the setup I suggested with 265/50/20 tires line up nicely with the fender? Forgive my ignorance of these matters.

Ok, i think the 20x9 with the +35 offset that the wheel has in conjunction with 265/50/20 tires is what I will go with. Thoughts? Opinions?

Visit this site and plug in your original specs and compare to what you're buying.. it'll give you an idea of fitment... The set up you suggested is almost identical to mine..there will be a slight tuck in the rear.. can you do a different offset front and back?

Ill find out about the different offset front and back, but according to the chart, the new setup will stick out 28mm more...

Have you considered 22s? A 20 wheel with a lip will look smaller; most that go this route regret it.. If you're worried about ride quality, the step up from 20 to 22 is slim.

For the 2nd Gens, the ideal set up imo to be close to flush is 30 mm wider in back and 20-25 mm wider up front than the stock 18s.

Thanks for the tip, I am worried about ride quality. Are you using 22s? How do you find the ride quality?

Definitely not as soft as the 18s, but not jarring or even uncomfortable. The looks are worth the slightly decrease in comfort.
