Full Exhaust

There's no way to say this without sounding concieted.... but money is not my limiting factor modifications...

What the guy at WPS said was that headers and high flow cats could throw check engine lights and prevent the car from passing emisions... So I half heartedly decided it was not worth the hassle and am probably gonna go with the cut-outs...

If someone on here has done one or both of those to their FX50 and had zero problems then I'll look back into it. But since all the research I've done has turned up warnings I think I'll go the cut-out route. At least until I get a second car.

hfc willl sometimes throw a cel. Hoever a simple spacer on the O2 sensor will fix this 99% of the time. I had berk and FI HFC's on my G37. FI never had a code berk developed a CEL after 10 000 km. But i simply put a spacer on the 02 sensor and it never came back. Others have been running both these setups with no CEL issues as well. Have not heard of anyone not being able to get rid of the CEL with spacers yet. As for emmissions I cannot tell you as where I live that is not an issue. However I will be getting custom HFC's made this summer and I will share the results with all you guys.

Anyone getting an osiris tune can also turn off the CEL in the ecu, the sensor will still function but it won't throw the code, good option for guys will headers/full exhaust. I know most of my friends that've been dyno tuned had it turned off

+1. you can disable just about any DTC.

Or with the HFc you just need the simple spacer or a defouler if anything. I really wish there were headers for our car.

So Im a newbie to Infinity.. I have an FX50. This thread is a bit old but can anyone answer the question of Companies that make headers? Or can anyone direct me to a fab ship that would make them in the Midwest?

Thanks,

Chip

That's shop can do it for sure. They do complete custom exhaust. It will cost you some good dollars for sure. Just for your info, their rate is $100 per hour. I originally wanted them to install my tips, they said it would takes 3 hours to do that. Umm, no thank you. :smile (2):
