Fuel level sensor

Are there dual fuel level sensors in my '05 FX35? I'm looking at a pdf of the service manual, and it appears to show a "main fuel level sensor unit" and a "sub fuel level sensor unit".

The fuel gauge isn't reading correctly so I'm going to source some parts and fix it. If there are dual sensors, how can I determine which is faulty?
