fuel gauge gone nuts

Hello everyone.
I have an 08 FX35. two days ago, I filled up my gas tank. when I started the car, the fuel gauge went all the way around.. It made a 360 clockwise.. now it is not showing the correct feul level. it stuck at 7'oclock position and the other side of the pin where the guage still when the car it turned off.
Any idea what could be the problem?

If you still have warranty, take it in. Otherwise, you can try this, ///13056
 
Never heard of the the needle traveling all the way around like that. Hopefully you're still under warranty and can let the dealer check it out.
 
Dunno why but the thought of this has me crackin up. :smile (2):

Hope the dealer takes care of you guys.
