Front/nose camera not working

My front camera was acting up for about a month and now it has just gone completely dark.
I was wondering how difficult is it to replace the camera on my own?
Another concern is the price.. I've found an OEM one online for $780US (Not from the dealership). Does this sound about right?

I'll try to post pics of what it looks like. Any help I can get with the steps to replace it, price and other tips is appreciated.
 
There are some interesting Chinese made ones on eBay and they still list it as OEM! lol
 
just keep looking, or find at your local junk yard.. definitely can find one for around 50-75
 
It's not difficult to install, but it is a little time-consuming. You can easily do the whole thing yourself in about an hour.
 
@Banjos-n-Beer Thanks for the link. The part numbers are different. Not sure if its the same camera. I emailed the seller to confirm the part # and see if its a right match.

@PEEJ Yeah I had a quick look under the hood. Seems pretty easy once I remove the rad/engine cover. The connector is very easy to get to as well.

Also have to get 620671CA2A because its cracked and I've ignored it for years. Might as well replace it with the camera.

I found another camera off eBay and replaced it, but the problem persists. I dont think the issue is with the camera. The image from the front camera comes on for just a moment (when I press the camera button) and then goes black. Does anyone have any idea what it could be and how I can diagnose the problem?
