Front kick panel lights

I'm not sure if our front kick panel lights are suppose to be on all the time or if there's way to turn them off? I never really noticed them before..

I replaced the kick panel bulbs with LED bulbs and everytime i drive at night, there is a big glare of light coming off my driver side window coming from the bright lick panel LED bulb. It gets really anoying everytime i go to look over at my rear view mirror.

Is there a way to set the kick panel lights to go on only when the doors are open?
 
If you're talking about the lights right above your and your passenger's feet, then no, those are on at night/HL on etc.. You didn't notice before because the bulbs you replaced were not very bright.

Sorry, I guess i should had been a little more clear and specific. I think they're the same ones PMG 705 are talking about. Right under the front panels on driver side and passenger side, above the feet. I have LED instead of the regular peanut bulb. Every time i go to look at my side view mirror, there would be a huge glare of light on the glass window coming from the LED light which obstruct my view of the side mirror

Put cluster less bright ;-) will dim feet lights as well
 
Not sure with LEDs but they can be dimmed with the dashboard dimmer control. Still have stock bulbs on the insides, only did the parking lights for now. Let me know if the LEDs dim with that control or not.
 
Yes, so those 2 lights do get dimmer if i dim the cluster. But then my cluster will be dim. I had all my interior lights changed to the 12 led superbright bulbs. The glare on the window obstruct my side mirrors pretty bad where i cant see into the mirrors too much. Kind of a pain in the butt so i may just switch those bulbs to less bright LED bulbs then

LOL that's probably why it's so annoying with the glare. I'm sure it looks good, but I'd get annoyed too with the glare at night time. You could look to keep the bulbs and just do a light spray tint over the lenses? Your choice, just wanted to offer my .02.
 
have changed to 12 leds also, don't bother me as much so far, only driven at night a couple of times only, maybe need a fewer leds?
