you know, I don't want to help you destroy your axle, but chances are real good that if you cut the boot all the way around, you can actualy slide the axle out of the outer cv joint too, the outer joint will stay in place & keep the bearing togeather... just be sure not to drop the needle bearings out from the 3 round bearing things... then you could drive anywhere really & should only need an outer boot on reassy... agian, I don't want to make you destroy anything, but if your really at your wits end this could be a solution...
