front axle popped out but i popped it back in

wassup guys I was changing my front driver side strut and when I pulled it out I forgot to watch the knuckle and fell towards me, the inner part of the axle came off but didn't break the boot, I had to wiggle the axle and pull and push it back in and GOT IT in I got my strut in put everything back together and lowered the car and looked at the inner axle boot and their was a pinhole size hole and a little grease came out you think this is ok or should I change it out. thanks in advance
 
If grease can come out, it means dirt and moisture can get in.
You can understand what that does in there so i would change it when you get the opportunity.
 
I would definitely change the boot. It way cheaper than replacing the drive shaft later on when all the grease leaked out and dirt and moisture get in it.
 
Me personally I wouldn't worry too much about it. Been there, spent like 30 minutes trying to get it back in.

Yes what these guys are saying is true. If the leak is at the clamp I wouldn't worry

the pinhole hole is in the middle of the inner boot, yea its 50/50 a lot of people say its ok and say change it I have it parked right now and just got done with my install on suspension.
 
wassup guys when im going 40 and left off the gas as it decelerates I get like a thudding sound not a loud thud but kind of like skipping. you can only hear and feel it on smooth road and a bumpy road cant feel or hear a thing. Any ideas based on on my axle issue? Alignment? I don't think its alignment because my car is not drifting.
 
Since, you recently change out the suspension, I would make sure all the nuts & bolts are nice and tight. If the sound goes with the speed, your bearing may be on it way out.
 
yea it goes with speed cuz as you decelerate and press brake gets louder, prally gets droned out from the exhaust so you cant hear it when you accelerate.
 
just remember this is a spinning part. the grease will still find it's way out of that hole

about the noise, did have this noise before you replaced the suspension part?

try to listen where it coming from, see if come from the pop out axle.
