Front aero spoiler, 50% tinted windshield

you are the only one who say you like the bull bar, everyone else is against it..

Hell, I like it too, I saw it and said 'oh shit.. look honey' when I saw it. If you live in a major metropolitian area, you KNOW why that bar is important. I dont per say like it for its 'look' I LOVE it for its functionality.. but up into me bitches, I'm protected. Hell I put a tow hook on my wifes SRT8 jeep when we never had a single plan to tow ANYTHING. I did it, so if someone bumped the rear of her SRT8, they would do damage to their car, not mine.

this is VERY tempting. Where can it be bought, and how much?

Thanks,

Jon

Google Burtman industries. They sell the bull bar that is crash tested, forget the name brand. Romik I believe.

Don't get "cheap" eBay ones, had to return mine because it doesn't fit and get a Romik until i sold it.

Forgot to mention people with the tech package definately can't get this because it blocks the view of the sensor in the bottom of the bumper.

That bull bar looks badass. I think it makes the car look more aggressive.. a bigger face as opposed to other 2nd gens with the tiny nose.
If I were you, I'd keep it past winter.

Ohhh, much appeciated, I would have learned the hard way on this one. Ours does have the tech package. Thanks!,... oh well.

I personally don't like the bull bar. However living in NY, I understand why a lot of NYorker would opt for it. I have seen crazy set up with bumper protectors looking like oversized foam pillows. I saw an FX35 limited edition yesterday parked along Park Ave corner 50th with a hideous bumper guard.

curious why everyone keeps calling it a bull bar, in the south they called those 'cow pushers' ... from the same name given to those same pieces on trains, that actually push cows out of the way on a train tracks. Just curious...

I call it that because Romik labels their products as such: http://www.romik.com/

i did it in a tint shop around fordham

So, I wonder if there is a way to adjust the bar so that the sensors arent blocked? Maybe some hole drilling and reinforcement welding? Hell, I could do all this, and then get it powder coated black or something.

I REALLY want this now! I think it would serve so many purposes, like even a skid plate for when my wife is coming in and out of steep driveways, or speed bumps, the lower section would take the abuse... Hmm.. can anyone give me photos on the interference? That way I can see if its 'fixable' without significant significantly affecting the integrity of the part.

Thanks!

Trust me no matter what you do it wouldnt work. The laser box sensor is located on the driverside in the bottom of the bumper. Even if the bar didn't block it which is does the sensor has a wide viewing path and it would block the beam of the sensor and cause it to have an error. Here is a little diagram. I hope you dont mind if I use you photo bro:

Ofcoarse you can get the bar but you wont be able to use the stuff in your tech package.

I really appeciate you going through the hassle of 'mspainting' that for me. REALLY .. appeciate it! I for some reason was thinking the sensors for the front were like those backup sensors you always see, so I was thinking a dime size hole at most. But based on your 'drawing' I guess its almost a spread pattern like 'radar' and thats why it wouldnt work. Sucks... really sucks... Any other solutions for protecting the front of the car?

No problem at all! The front parking sensors are small circle shaped embedded in the bumper. The sensor for the tech package is this square shaped box that's about 6 inches long.

Get a clear bra ....and hope for the best I live in nyc park on the street mostly and almost every defect in my cars body is in the bra.
