Fritzie's FX35 Dropped on Megan Coilovers

I haven't driven my FX since the start of 2010, but I rode in Will's. I must say the coilovers feel alot smoother over bumps and the steering feels tight. I'll let Alan say more since he can give a better comparison. I'd definitely get these and it sounds like the price will be great.

Great feedback Stu, looking forward to Alan weighing in as well but these sound like they have potential. If the price is right I may hold off on my H&R mods I had planned for next week.....thanks for taking the time to check these out guys.

We bought a house In Carson Last July. So yes we are here. Thanks guys for testing it out. Hope to see your reviews. Sorry about dropping it lower but I have no plans on dropping her ride further maybe it could go another 1/2 to 1 inch lower. Hit me up if you want to come by.

It can go until the tires hit the fenders probably, it's already close. Where's Alan been? I want to see what all he has to say, too.

thank you Lawrence for letting us stop by.

I really like the ride of these coil overs. It felt really planted and not bumpy at all.
We drove it over railroad tracks and I did a few hard turns and it was all good. Only thing I didnt do was the freeway, and I also didnt adjust the shocks either. but the setting he had it on was real good. I know he should have done an alignment , which would have made the handling much better. I was in the FX with Stu driving , but he was babying it too much  so I drove it a bit faster and wow. I didnt think I would like a coilover setup, but I do. If my wife allows () Im going to sell my modified struts to get these on GB!
I would definitely get these once they come out.

here are some pics of the setup...

I agree that it should have a alignment kit as an option to the kit. the rears do camber out allot.

Also Lawrence said ..... 'if we can dream it , he can make it' ... so we need a rear camber kit !

Isn't a camber kit already available for the FX? And my understanding is that it's not camber that's the problem, it's getting toe into specification after you have brought in the camber.

Instead of a camber kit you can also slot the sub-frame, which is what I did with my FX rather than an offset bolt type camber kit. All my numbers are within spec, but toe is right on the edge.

I am also in for this GB when it finally goes down...

jumbo, true about the toe, I was commenting that a camber does not exist for the rear. But to adjust the toe, we would need new lower control arms. (add that to the list!)

couple of other things I was pondering and didnt ask Lawrence...

1. what is the warranty period (shocks covered?)
2. how well is the shock built? ie rebuildable?
3. different springs options.

He did tell me these are version 2 and version 3 may be the the version for the GB.
