Hey, folks! I've been a member of FX35/45 Forum for two years or so, but recently purchased a CPO 2015 QX70. I'd bought an '05 FX35 new, and pampered him for 13 years, 153k miles; actually planned to drive 'em until wheels fell off - that's how much I loved my "beast".

Cut to Apri 2018, my beast was deemed a total-loss after a hard, front-end hit after a 4-dr Honda turned left into oncoming traffic - into me!. I was in the far right lane, traveling freely. Honda chanced an opening left by a driver backed up in left lane traffic. I was traveling about 30-35 mpr, then boom! Dead FX35; never saw the Honda shoot thru the opening; never hit breaks...!

So, I'm proud owner of a new(er) generation; the 2015 QX70 - excited to get going in this forum, learn all I can about her!

You’ll like the next generation one too. Now you can start personalizing the new baby.

Lol, depends on how you define “hurt”. My right knee was still on accelerator (never saw other vehicle turn left in front of me until too late); my knee smashed into the dash; I have a torn PCL and Meniscus; also a compressed tibial nerve, a severe bone bruise on the outer right knee, sprained right wrist, and sprained right ankle. Started PT three weeks ago to rehab the leg.

Is it just me, or does the QX70 sit lower than 1st Gen FX35?

Ouch!

Maybe, not sure, the exhaust sound was my first complaint.
Added a Borla muffler, fixed that.
A lot of folks here have sophisticated knowledge about the ups and downs of the struts, coils, bags and what not. But, if it’s lower, that’s better, right?
