yesterday after a came back from work at 5 pm, my driver take the car for parking, then at 11 pm i decided to go out and when i opened the car door i found the engine is still running and inside the car was extremely hot, i asked him for how long he said after he parked it at 5 pm.
that's mean 6 hours of engine running while parking without moving and with AC off in around 100F in this summer.
is it ok to keep engine running all that time without moving? should i do something like check some parts or change it?
should i worry in first place?

Thank you.

my guess it's fine and the "check engine" light isnt lit.

i'm sure nissan/infiniti has thoroughly tested in harsher conditions and should be still reliable.

It's fine. Six hours is really excessive idling, but the engine is fine. Maybe you can take it on a long highway trip driving 60 mph+ for a good bit? There could be excess fluid/water in the exhaust that collected during the idling that needs to be burned out/evaporated.

I would change the motor oil ASAP. Excessive idling leads to fuel dilution in the motor oil which leads to the viscosity being altered.

I was thinking the same. Go on the highway for at least 15 minutes then go for an oil change.

The engine should be fine. It can take the beating of a prolonged idle. I would change the oil a little earlier than usual, but there is no need to be overly concerned otherwise.

LOL, nice pics...That sux, So many people with a low brain cell count, Guessing you won't go there anymore.

Letting a car sit idling, if it's in good running condition, won't do any damage. It will just waste alot of fuel. The biggest problem you run into is that there is no air moving over the radiator. Usually there is an electric fan that turns on if the car gets too hot and it solves that problem. If this fan was not working ( something you may not notice if you drive on the highway alot), the engine could overheat. If the engine overheats, bad things happen. The heads can actually warp from getting too hot and you can blow a head gasket.
Check two things on the car before you try and start it again. Check the oil. Not only for level but also look for a milky gray substance. This would mean you have coolant mixing with the oil ( blown head gasket). Also check the radiator expansion tank for signs of oil in the coolant. This is that white tank that sits near the radiator and usually has some green antifreeze in there. If you have checked both of these thigns and you don't see any problems, you are probably OK, but you should still do a compression check to be sure. A mechanic can do this for you.

Pull out your dipstick and sniff it.

See if there is the smell of fuel.
Neat suggestion Aaron but you must admit it does sound a bit kinky.

And I'm sure the engine will be fine but I would do as some of the others said and do an oil change.
