Always thought they looked great, then I found out the price! Probably gonna do some research to make sure there's not a reason they are so cheap.

Cheaper because they are not forged... However the process and delivery time takes as long, and maybe longer, as forged wheels.... 8.5 weeks for me and counting and still not done.. I am NOT amused !!!

Forgestar's Rotary Forged Flowforming process is a unique solution to a common problem – how to make a wheel both light and strong.

This specialized process begins with a low pressure type of casting and uses a special machine that spins the initial casting, heats the outer portion of the casting and then uses steel rollers pressed against the rim area to pull the rim to its final width and shape. The combination of the heat, pressure and spinning create a rim area with the strength similar to a forged wheel. During Flow Forming, the pressure applied to the cast rim actually changes its mechanical properties, so its strength and impact values become similar to those of a forged rim. That translates to up to 15% less weight when compared to a standard cast wheel. The resulting grain structure within the alloy of the wheel is linear, flowing in a single direction.

This grain structure pattern, combined with the exceptional quality of casting required for the process, gives the rim area of the wheel huge mechanical strength, and elongation. As a result of these mechanical characteristics, Forgestar is able to reduce the thickness of the rim area resulting in reduced weight, without compromising strength and resistance to impact.

That description needs: " Estimated delivery times can vary and may double without warning".

I am sorry about the delay's with the Forgestar wheels. I personally believe it is there powder coat company they are using. Forgestar told me they are working on getting a second powder coat company to help.

Also if you have any concerns or questions just shoot me a pm. I am more than willing to answer or help with any question you have.

Thanks
Charles

Thanks Charles.

FYI for those buying Forgestar's -- for at least the F14's, you have to use spline drive lugs, because there is no room for a socket on "regular" lugs unless you have an extremely thing socket, comparable to what the spline drive key/tool is.

I believe the 22 inch wheels are the only ones that will require the spline drive lug nuts and Ian I am sorry for not letting you know of this ahead of time.

I just mounted these today and they 20 inch. They have a big hole for the lug nuts.

Thanks again

I understand that the 22's are newly introduced, but product knowledge is key in sales. It saves customers not only aggravation, but quite a bit of money as well. I now have two sets of locks and a set of lugs that are non-refundable. Communication between manufacturer, dealer and ultimately the consumer is paramount when it comes to high dollar sales.... The mark of great customer service is not what occurs when things as planned, but when such plans go awry.

Could I get details on F14 20x10 and 22x10 in gunmetal and matte black?
And what is the turn-around time on orders?
