Hey quick question for the skiers here if i may ask ?? My skis are 170 cm and since i dont have a passthru on my rear seats unike my other rides i was wondering is there any other way to bring these with me aside from getting ski racks on my roof ???

MTN .... i apologize if i somewhat hi jacked the thread ?? Hope you didnt mind :smile (2): !!??

Are you talking about your FX if so I'm pretty sure there is room for 170's if you lay one rear seat section down.
Take em out and see.

Ahhhh my bad !!! This is without me being able to bring those down since i have 2 child seats in use ....... if the kids werent coming id easily be able to fold the seats down and slide the skis in !?!?

Yeah that's what i thought UGH !? Such a pain to install and uninstall the racks ! If the kids don't come along it'll be easier but i cant imagine not taking them

do you got factory cross bars? if not, buy some thule bars and mount the ski rack onto the bars. When ever you want to take them off, its just a simple pull open cap, unscrew the strap on all 4 then remove. probably 5 min max install and 2 mins to remove.

My snowboard is a 163 and I can barely get it to fit sideways in the back. Still able to have both baby seats installed. 170 is going to be tough.

I do have the cross bars on the OEM rails ?? I'll go over to Dick's as lazylagger did and check what they have ?? Can't tell you how excited i am to go skiing again especially since i missed out last season UGH !!

word of advice. if your planning on carrying more then 2 snowboards ( one on top of other) id buy aftermarket rails with higher profile snowboard rack so the bindings dont scratch the roof. ( i put my snowboard in a bag before i mount it up top to prevent salt and rock damage)
