Fluid Change Service

I did mine when it was cold. In fact, I did it when I haven't driven the thing in more than a month =D

I think everything drained out. I waited about 20 mins for everything to drain out. Other than the gunk stuck on the plug, there were more stuff that drained out. Looked like black dust particles.

...just make sure you dont burn yourself on the hot muffler...:eek.:

I changed the rear diff oil after work today, the oil was a slightly darker tan than the new oil. there was some gunk on the plug, so I filled it with ~.3 quarts just to 'flush' some more dirt out.
I used Lucas Synthetic gear oil.:alien:

Fujimoto valve won't work as well as the magnetic bolt.. That bolt collect most of the metal particles.. The valve won't do that job.

Better to drain when hot. The oil will flow better for a more efficient change. If you're draining at home then you probably have the time to let it sit. A 2 minute drain is okay at Jiffy Lube. Best to let it go for a couple of hours and get every dirty drop.
