Hey guys, i want to install the flowmaster series 80 on my fx35 2006 AWD, and im looking on amazon/ebay but there are so many diff types with dif specs, some are dual, 2 pipes in and 2 pipes out, and some have 1 pipe on one end and 2 out the other.. also some are 3" in and 2.5" out and some are 2.5" in and 2.5" out, i saw a couple fx35'ers here with that muffler also on youtube. i was wondering if anyone knew which one they had installed? thanks! :eek.:

I have a flowmaster 80 series muffler on my 45 with the stock tips.

Sweet! ill check that post out, How does it sound with the resonator still there? Im thinking of leaving it and just have the muffler,, where are you guys located! lets do a meet up!

Wait that member said he was getting this part " Flowmaster 42583 80 Series Muffler - 2.50" Offset In / 2.50" Dual Out - Aggressive Sound " its 2.5 in and out and not 2.25 im not sure if they have a series 80 with 2.25 ???

you should only need a 2.50" if you have stock exhuast that is. and the resonator will tone it down a bit you have have a LITTLE bit of sound at lower rpms and the higher your rpms the less you will hear. if yu want something that sounds mild and very aggresive i would delete your resonators its well worth it the shop oly charged me 20 bucks to take mine off. you will be glad you did:tup:

w00t does anyone have clips of the flowmaster with and without the resonator ? I want a rumble but not oo much of a rumble that'll make the fx look like a Hyundai :P

i got my flowmaster at amazon 2010 and been loving it since... i left the resonator and it sounds sweet, much better at lower RPMs like infinitifan says... best bang for the buck IMO of course

Ok I got a ? for you guys...just ordered the aforementioned flowmaster 80 series muffler and I'm thinking about the exhaust tips. Did you all just hack your old tips off and use them? I really wanna use some burnt aluminum tips but I can only find mufflers with them. I'm almost tempted to buy the eBay muffler for $37 shipped just for the tips...Any of you guys know where I can pick up some nice tips without using my entire tax return? I don't need them to say Greddy or Nismo or anything like that, just classy lookin. Thanks in advance!!!

Motordyne has what you need :)

I know I gotta pay to play but $100 for a pair of exhaust tips seems excessive...is that my only choice?

I found a muffler on eBay for <$40, looks like I'm going to use it for it's tips; no homo. Every time an eBay muffler is cut up, God kills a Honda.
