Floor mats = Toyota experience

I recently purchased a set of Weather Tech front floor mats. Though they said they were custom fit(decent but I expected better) I wasnt too thrilled with the product. 2 days after I put the mats in I was flooring the accelerator(I have a new intake also, and the sound makes my day) and it seemed to get hooked on the mat and continue to accelerate after I let off the gas. Pretty scary situation that I wasnt expecting. Thanks to the news and all the prius b.s. I remembered to throw it in Nuetral and was able to slow down without slamming into another car. After examining the pedal and mat with the vehicle off, I found that pushing the pedal all the way down to the floor fast would hook on the edge of the mat and get stuck causing my issue. I pullled the mat more towards the seat and it seems fine but I check it almost daily so I dont experience that $hit again. Im going to continue to use them cause the stock mats get dirty so easy living in the NW with rain and ect, but just thought I'd share my 2cents! So buyer beware!!

A lot of people use Weather Techs here. Thanks for sharing, I'd throw them suckas out of the car if that happened to me.

Did you get the rubber mats or the plastic molded digital fit liners?

Also make sure the mat is hooked into the holder near the seat so it won't creep forward.

I didnt know there where 2 different types of mats. These are definately the rubber mats.. I wish I knew of the molded digi fit liners...That explains the not so great fit.. Still spendy though.. No reason to post a pic of the trimmings... It was literally a 15 second job cutting off the right upper corner..
