Yeah, cool. Vinyl wrap is the latest craze. Not only is it good for looks. It's like protective wrap for your vehicle...could protect your paint from light scratches and such. When the wrap gets damaged, you just replace it with a new piece.
At one point I was seriously considering getting a flat black paint job. After a lot of research I learned that the color you should be requesting is actually satin black and a special flat clearcoat should still be used to protect from scratches. Apparently chips and imperfections are exaggerated even more on matte paint jobs. In the end, the costs were starting to exceed $4K for full paint job from a legitimate auto painter so the vinyl wrap is definitely a more reasonable alternative (especially if there's even a chance that you will be re-selling).
